The rating authority is Warwick District Council who collects rates on behalf of the County Council and Town Councils. The Town Council rate is charged to the residents of the Town only and is usually a very small percentage of the total.

The precept levied by Warwick Town Council since 2017 are:

  • 2017 – £30.36 per household
  • 2018 – £32.18 per household
  • 2019 – £33.79 per household
  • 2020 – £36.79 per household
  • 2021 – £40.79 per household
  • 2022 – £44.79 per household

For the financial year 2022/2023 this has a total sum of £561,000 and expenditure is as follows:

  • Planning & Economic Development £81,000
  • Recreation & Tourism £190,000
  • Community £200,000
  • Other £90,000
  • Total £561,000
